Dr. Yong S. Chae has been in practice for nine years both in group practice and now solo. He is certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Chae is also a member of the Indiana and American Podiatric Medical Association. Areas of interest include reconstructive foot surgery,
sports medicine, and wound care.
Dr. Chae received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1992. In 1996, he graduated with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He has also undergone two years of residency training in Chicago as well.
The first year was comprised of a Rotating Podiatric Residency and was completed at St. Bernard Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. During this first year, a diverse range of training was achieved such as learning techniques in wound care, biomechanics, and orthopedic surgery. The second year of residency focusing on foot surgery was completed at Vencor Hospital also located in Chicago, Illinois.
As previously mentioned, Dr. Chae had been in group practice for some time. In 2006, he opened a solo practice on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana in the Eagle Creek area. Dr. Chae has privileges at Methodist Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis Indiana, and St. Clare Hospital of Crawfordsville Indiana.
